No, no...get down...don't stand on that.. what are you doing?!?

I feel like those are the only words I say anymore. Noah is into everything. We put up our Christmas trees this past weekend, because the weekend after Thanksgiving is already very busy. He has tried to pull off all of the ornaments. He does not like the fact that his Elmo ornaments are on the tree and not in his hand. When he is not messing with the tree, he is climbing on tables, standing on his rocking horse, getting inside his blanket basket, climbing on our baker's rack, hitting the dog, eating random things off the ground (including his first, but I am sure not last, dead bug)! Sometimes I feel like I am losing my mind! By the time, Toby gets home I am exhausted! I wonder what it will be like with two?

I finished my Clomid on Sunday. I have had all of the side effects, including some I forgot about. I did not remember having all of the hot flashes, but when I mentioned it, Toby just rolled his eyes and reminded me of last time! So now we wait. I go to the dr on Dec. 8th to see if I ovulated or not. For now, I just sit here and pray!

Here we go

Tomorrow I start on the Clomid. I am already emotional. I am so hopeful that it will work on the first try and we will not have to go through all of this over and over again. I keep telling myself to not get my hopes up, but I have already looked into what my due date would be, thought about names, etc. I am so ready for the next little one, but terrified of the process. I am just going to pray and cross my fingers. Hopefully, Noah will have a little brother or sister before Christmas 2009.

Challenge and weekend

My best friend in Houston has issued a challenge to support small businesses. While I am not able to do very much (because I live in the middle of cow country and there are very few stores around), I thought I would post the small businesses that I am trying to go to more often. I bought her son's Christmas present at a cute little toy store called The Owl's Nest. It is a great little store with toys that are not all made in China! It was very exciting for me to find this store, and Noah loved it. He cried when we had to leave!

Also, I thought I would post some pics from our Sunday adventure to the Botanical Gardens. We went to try and get Noah outside so he would be a little happier, it wasn't a huge sucess! He spent most of the day crying. Oh well, I got some cute pics! Then we headed off to the stockyards for some yummy BBQ. Enjoy!

TTC #2

Okay. It is offical! We are ttc #2! I met my new doctor today, and he started me on medicine right away. We went and filled it and tomorrow I start taking progesterone. I have promised Toby that I will not be bitchy this time! :) I am very excited and very scared. I don't want the pre eclampsia to come back, but the dr said having it before doesn't mean I will get it again for sure. So here is hoping! The dr seems to think I should be able to get pregnant rather quickly. He put me on the highest amount of clomid he can. So hopefully everything will go well, and I willbe pregnant soon!

Halloween and election day

Noah had a great Halloween. We went to visit Toby at work so all of the teachers could see him in his costume. He was the hit of the teacher's lounge! :) We then went to visit his Nana. He was very tired by the time we got home, so it was time for a quick nap and then off to the fall festival. We went to our neighborhood fall festival which was huge! Then we went trick or treating, which was a little hard, because everyone was at the fall festival. But he got a lot of candy, which he loves!

We had a relaxing weekend. We finished most of our Christmas shopping, mainly for friends' kids and birthday shopping for a party Noah is going to in a couple of weeks. Then we went and watched the Richland Band state send off. Noah loves bands! He was unhappy and crying until the band started, and then he sat there drooling! Yesterday, Noah and I went to one of the parks in our subdivision. He loved sliding on the slides. Then we came home and settled in to watch the election results. We watched until about 9:30 until we knew that McCain had no way of winning, and then we couldn't stand to watch anymore. We had to turn it off. I was so sad that McCain didn't win. Oh well, all we can do is pray and hope for a different outcome in 4 years.

October activities

Noah has been a busy guy this past week. He painted pots and planted flowers. He also carved his first pumpkin. He did not like touching the goop that came out of the pumpkin, and I cannot blame him. He also got his first black eye this week. :( He was walking with his little piano, tripped over a ball, and smacked his eye. It was very sad! He also got to go with me to vote. He was really interested in the computer voting booth, and he almost cast his own vote! We spent Saturday in downtown with my brother. He really enjoyed seeing his Uncle Matt! This week will be busy too. We have another trip planned ot the downtown library, Boo at the Zoo, and Halloween!

Finally content

All of my life I have always wished for what I have just had. When I was in high school, I wished I could move back to White Oak. When I was in college, I wished I could go back to high school. When I graduated and went to law school, I wished I was back in college. When I moved home to FW, I wished I was back in Houston, and so on and so on. Anyway, I realized this weekend, I am finally content with where I am. I do not want to go back to what I had before. I am finally happy, which makes me think that this is what I was meant to do. I am finally happy being a stay at home mom. After years of feeling like the past was so much better than where I was at that moment, it is great to be happy in the moment! This smile is what makes me the happiest:
